St. Jacobs / Toronto Shopping Getaway
This fall, join us on a tour through Southern Ontario visiting the small rural village of St. Jacobs and its famous "Farmer's Market" as well as Toronto's upscale Yorkdale & Vaughan Mills shopping centers. The scenic riverside village of St. Jacobs, located just outside of Kitchen er/Waterloo, is a charming artisan community where the simplicities of small town life complement the fabulous shopping in nearly 100 specialty shops and artist's studios. The Farmer's Market itself is a unique and lively shopping experience. Here, you will find aisle upon aisle of fresh local produce, meats, cheese, baking, crafts, home decor, furniture, clothes, tools and more. Surrounding the Farmer's Market, explore the quality high end stores in the outlet mall or visit the Quilted Heirloom which features handcrafted Mennonite quilts. Enroute to and from St. Jacobs, we will ease our journey by exploring two of Toronto's most famous malls. Catch up on the latest style trends, tick off your Christmas shopping list or simply spoil yourself!

The three day trip will leave Ottawa and
travel along the 417 highway picking up passengers along the way. We
make our way to the new Vaughan Mills Mega Mall on Hwy 400 www.vaughanmills.com.
This impressive mall opened November 2004. It features the latest stores
to hit Canada and some outlet stores. After our day of shopping, we
continue on to St. Jacobs for a quick tour of the downtown area before
we check into the St. Jacobs Best Western Country Inn
www.stjacobscountryinn.com. Our hotel is located across the street
from the famous St. Jacobs Farmer’s Market and Outlet Mall. With
over 600 vendors at this market, you will find one of a kind hand crafted
items, arts, clothing, antiques, furniture, pottery, and much more.
www.stjacobs.com. Don’t forget your bathing suit; our hotel
has a 12-person Jacuzzi hot tub and sauna!

Breakfast is included at the hotel this
morning. The Farmer’s Market opens at 7:00am. You may venture
over at any time. I suggest you go early as the market does get busy

Market and also a 20,000 square foot Antique Warehouse! Our tour bus
will make an afternoon shuttle to the downtown area of St. Jacob’s
including a stop at Pickard’s Peanut and Candy Factory along the
way. The Stone Crock Restaurant is well known for their homemade meals
and cozy atmosphere. A full dinner buffet is included in your trip package.

We say good-bye to St. Jacobs and make
our way along Hwy 401 to Toronto’s Yorkdale Mall. We will then
